In 2021 french label Yves Saint Laurent released Y le parfum, a dark amber fougere that is a more intensive version of the original y cologne launched in 2017. Opening notes mingle bold aldehydes with crisp nuances of grapefruit, apple and fresh ginger. As the scent settles, aromatic herbs emerge, blending crushed sage and lavender with piquant nuances of geranium leaf. A warmer base of earthy, spicy patchouli essence, tonka bean, cedar and olibanum leave an intense woody aromatic trail.
